Two parakeets, one blue and the other greenish

Message from Finder

These two parakeets are hanging out around my backyard and enjoying food at my feeders. They let me get close but flew away. They seem to be hanging around this area.

Put the back of your hand up, with your index finger extended for one to land on, & say the magic words ‘step up’. I guarantee you, they’ve each heard that phrase a million times, & there’s a good chance they’ll listen, & land on your finger. Then slowly move your other hand, as to pet him or her, & gently grab them instead, so they don’t fly away again. Put that one in a safe enclosure. Then repeat for the other.

Use millet sprays, you can get them at a supermarket. The birds should fly to you. Slowly walk into the house. I am with Capital Region Parrot Society, please call me 518-423-9227
