This is the best advice I can give you your dog has been missing now this is day six do not call them. Do not email them. They are not gonna tell you anything you need to go to all shelters and dog pounds and take flyer with you and ask them if that dog is there sometimes they will tell you they don’t have time and you’re gonna have to walk the kennels and that’s what it takes to find your dog then do it also ask them about the dogs in the back area that is on stray hold because chances are that’s where your dog probably would be is on stray hold and you have to ask. They won’t even take you back there unless you ask to take flyers and email them to all veterinarian clinics and veterinarian hospitals in your area and on the when you send them the email, ask them, could they please print one out and post it in their lobby in case someone has seen your golden then take flyers to all gas stations and grocery stores and ask them if you can post a flyer on their window on a board sometimes they will let you put up flyers for a few days on gas pumps when people just pumping gas and paying credit card or something they can still see the fire. Also if you live in a neighborhood or don’t live in a neighborhood at all two way stops in four-way stops. You should be posting flyers up on the stop signs or telephone pole near the stop sign if you have to take and glue it to a piece of cardboard and then take duct tape and tape it around you can always go back through and cut the things off. You can’t just hang a piece of paper first rain for good wind and it’s gone you want that hanging up there for at least a week that way if someone found your dog and hasn’t really tried to do anything or has senior dog and hasn’t said anything then they know someone’s looking for it because they saw a flyer if you live in a neighborhood and you have a bunch of houses around put flyers on the windshield wipers of the cars get as many out as you can you don’t have to hit every single vehicle but get a many of them out as you can. If you live in an apartment complex, you can ask if you can hang up flyers on the buildings like you know in front by the mailboxes. Also if you live in your own house and you have your own mailbox at the end of your driveway or something post a flyer there a different one saying I am looking for my lost dog have you seen this dog so that way whenever someone’s dropping a package off will there be the regular postal service or whoever they’re gonna see this flyer also the more flyers you get out and the quicker you get it done a lot more higher chance of you getting your dog back. Also, if you have golden retriever, rescues, or any dog rescues in your state, which I guarantee you, you do at least four or five in the state of dog rescues email all of them flyers just in case your dog was picked up and they had a Rescue come in and get the dog. The dog may still be at the Rescue time is ticking. I don’t wanna scare your freak you out, but I’m just gonna tell you right now once a dog has been gone for a week or two the chances go way down because either someone’s took it and has now claimed it as their own or it’s at the shelter and hasn’t been posted yet because it’s on a straight hole or it’s at a Rescue getting put up for adoption once they adopt your dog out. It’s done shelter rescues it’s done you will not get your dog back so I’m trying to tell you time is of the essence right now you have to hit the ground running when you lose a dog that first 24 to 48 hours is Critical so with all that being said, I am gonna pray and pray and pray your puppy that comes home or is found but I am telling you I know you love your dog and you want your golden back. I have golden retrievers myself. I’m just telling you if you want your dog back at this point you’re gonna have to make it happen chances are and these things are the things are gonna have to be done if there’s any parks around your area if there’s any hiking trails or anything like that post flyers at all of those the first parks post flyers once a dog’s been out on his own for about 10 to 14 days then they go into survival mode and they’re scared and they start getting very timid around people

Senior dogs typically stay in less than a 2 mile radius and tend to follow gravity going down embankments and slopes close to water and will look for shelter under brush or trees. L
