Eleas is a 4 year old outdoor cat from the Oak Cliff area of Dallas around a family members hse. I have looked after him since he was a kitten and we've been through a lot. He was missing for 8 days during the recent Arctic storm. I knocked on neighbors doors and asked to check their property for a trapped cat. The next day he hopped into my car window and on to my lap, slightly slimmer with an injured paw. I took him back to my Grand Prairie apt to be sure he got good rest, food and antibiotics. He crawled into my lap and did not want to leave it. Two days later it appeared someone let him out of my car at my apt while I was getting ready to take him to a vet. I searched for him daily for four days until he waltzed up to my car just after I got on Friday night 2/6/26, starving. He ate two whole cans of Friskies, crawled into the passenger floorboard and slept for hours. 24 hours later on the evening of 2/7 I put him in to a pet carrier in the front seat of the car, preparing to take him upstairs. I took a round of groceries in and came back to find he had broken out of the carrier. One of the screws that holds it together near the door latch had fallen out and it appears he was able to flex the two halves apart enough for the door to partially pop open and he squeezed out. At first I was frustrated but he knows my car and knew where to find me so I wasn't too worried. But now this coming Saturday 2/28 will be 21 days. I walk the property daily and have been going out to my car every hour or two when I'm . I've called GP & Arlington animal shelters multiple times with no hits. He's never been one to wander far but I cannot find him.

Post on nextdoor. Post on pawboost. Tell your neighbors. Go out at night with a flashlight. Cats, when lost, hide. They come out when the area is less active. Use flashlight to help see eyeshine. Point in bushes, under cars and near houses. Be careful of people claiming they can help. Hope you find your baby soon.
