This cat comes and goes near me (h7v 3n4) , its friendly and wants to come in but i have 3 cats. I saw it today while trying to get my cats in. Could it be yours?

I agree … they usually get so scared when they get lost outside, that they don’t come close when called or if someone tries to pick them up. A trap is the safest bet but needs to be supervised and checked very often. Dont set the trap when you are unable to check often

Vérifiez aussi souvent à la SPCA et au Berger Blanc de Laval, pas juste téléphoner mais aussi y aller en personne! Le Berger Blanc ramasse des chats errants et les euthanasie très souvent!

CHAT PERDU – CONSIGNES DE BASE – TRÈS EFFICACE 1. Sortez la litière NON NETTOYÉE dehors (gardez-là à l’abris de la neige et de la pluie). Les chats ont l'odorat très développé alors ils peuvent repérer leur odeur sur une distance de 2 km. 2. Appelez votre chat très souvent à des heures régulières afin qu’il entende votre voix. Secouez aussi des gâteries pendant ce temps. Le son voyage mieux le soir étant donné qu'il y a moins de bruit dehors. 3. Avec une lampe de poche (afin de voir ses yeux briller) vérifiez sous les balcons, sous les remises et dans les haies de cèdres (cachettes parfaites pour les chats peureux). Ne prenez pas pour acquis qu’il miaulera lorsque vous l’appellerez, il se peut qu’il soit complètement apeuré, d’où l’importance de bien vérifier les cachettes possibles. 4. Demandez à vos voisins de vérifiez leur piscine ainsi que leur cabanon (certains chats ont été retrouvés coincés et même enfermés involontairement). 5. Avisez votre entourage. Plusieurs personnes ne sont pas sur les réseaux sociaux alors le bouche à-oreille et le porte-à-porte demeurent des méthodes encore très efficaces. 6. Mettez des affiches dans votre quartier (avec des photos et votre numéros de téléphone). 7. Avisez la SPCA ou le service animalier de votre région DÈS la disparition de votre animal. Certaines villes ne font pas affaire avec un service animalier. Si tel est le cas, contactez la mairie ainsi que les vétérinaires de votre région. 8. Publiez votre annonce sur plusieurs groupe d’animaux perdus ainsi que sur le Spotted de votre ville. 9. Vérifiez auprès des cliniques vétérinaires s’ils n’ont pas reçu votre chat. Bonne chance dans vos recherches et ne perdez pas espoir ! Certains ont été retrouvés des mois plus tard ou sont revenus d’eux-mêmes.

Put a piece of your clothing outside for the scent. Put out food. Ask neighbors to look inside garages or sheds. Call spca with info on the cat in case he is found. When dark stay on your balcony and shake treats and calling his name loudly

Try a live trap, they are fairly cheap, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street. Eventually she was found eating hamburger in the trap on my front porch and all was right again. Tuna in oil also makes a lot of scent. If its cold out, wrap the trap in a blanket and make sure to check it often. I believe in Jane's case, the live trap was her only chance. Best of luck and a swift resolve for you I hope

Microchip? Probably not far. Check all sheds, garages, under porches around: could be stuck. Crucial to keep going out each night and early in the mornings, calling and shaking the treats/kibble bag. There's controversy over putting out litter but I know people who do. Put his/her used litter box outside on the balcony/front porch/outside where you think she got out, for him/her to smell and reorient herself home. Also put out some of your old used clothing with your smell on it for the same reason. Check the sheds and garages in the area. When it gets dark outside, go outside and shake a box of treats while calling his/her name; call in a very high and calm voice, every quarter of an hour or twenty minutes, for a full 5 minutes, and do this every half hour minimum, for a minimum of 3 hours in total, and at minimum call your cat 6 times a night, more if you wish, also in early morning before noise of day muffles you hearing her mewing back at you.
