List on Nextdoor too. Check on Animal Care Center. Even if they have been outdoors before: Getting your home scent out there is one of the best things you can do. Worn clothing or your pillowcases and if possible in a place where they can blow. They can smell up to a mile away. Typically they do not travel more than 5 to 7 houses away from home. They are more likely to move at dawn and dusk. If you have a back door or a garage door that you could leave slightly open or up in the case that when you sing song his/her name and shake treats that s/he comes running back. Even if your cat is the snuggliest cat you have ever had just remember when they are outside they will be very scared so you do not want to chase them. It is not advised to put their litter box outside as it can attract other outside critters and keep your cat from coming back home ( this being said some people do find the litterbox to be a good scent trigger for their cat: please monitor the box and never leave outside after dark if you do this) . Check in with neighbors for their garages, sheds, under their decks and or porches and to bang on their hoods of their cars. Get flyers made and posted in the area. Notify your microchip company, mail carrier, local PD & also your local shelter. Post on neighborhood apps & local lost and found groups in your area (via FB).--

When he is home again, pls keep him inside. It is too dangerous outside for socialized cats. https://pethelpful.com/cats/10-Reasons-Why-Your-Cat-Should-be-an-Indoor-Only-Cat
