I've had Zulu since he was 8 weeks old. He's almost 9 years old now. We both developed PTSD from the same narcissist. 2 years free from him and all we've had is each other. Finally healing making progress he started going outside but only with me and close. Well we all know how cats work. The more he healed The more he wanted to be out in the yard I never let them out at night I call him in at night I would never leave him outside all night long. But on the night he disappeared I opened the door to the back and out he went like a dash I couldn't stop him so I left the door cracked and I waited and he never came back. I'm all alone now he was my protector healer companion my best friend the only one showing up for me. I struggle with a chronic condition called CRPS and and having him with me made the days a lot better. It's the most painful condition and nickname Disease because the pain is so bad that that's the only way out. It's neurological issue with the malfunction in your nervous system which keeps your fight or flight on constantly and that triggers the brain to create massive pain when there shouldn't be. We were healing together. Zulu was never a people person especially with men he finally started coming out when certain friend came over because he knows her from outside and it was really awesome that he came down. Now he's gone and I feel like I let him down by bringing him into this environment I just had no idea toxic it was back then. I feel like I owe him for putting him through that but maybe he was supposed to be there for me and he was. This is not typical activity for my cat does not stay out on that I don't allow him to stay out right now I live right next to the Greenbelt. It was so hot in here that night and the cool breeze from me opening the door to grab something probably sound good to him I just want my cat back I failed him.
