LOST OR STOLEN PETS Post on:TIPS TO HELP FIND DOG or cat or bird owners By using these steps to aid in that effort Put the streets/city that your doggie or Kittie was found in your original post **Ask the kids in that neighborhood. They usually know where all the animals live Leave out items of clothing/bedding of the and/or the owners to see if they follow the scent home. **Ask your neighbors to check their sheds & garages for kitty or doggie if trapped in there by mistake. Take a picture with you & walk around the neighborhood by where originally was lost **Call the dog's microchip company to inform them you lost fur baby. **Indigent encampments are getting more aggressive in finding pets & keeping them. -Smaller dogs or cats tend to be rescued within a mile from their home. So their owner will be looking for him if you have moved lately, check at your old address for your pet. Pets have been known to walk a far distance to get back to their old home - Go door to door w/flyers. Speak w/as many people as possible. - File lost report with shelters in your area & surrounding - Check shelters (in person or go online with pictures of found dogs & cats)to see if anyone has been inquiring about the your cat or dog - Take flyers to shelters. ask to see binder for strays
