Message from Owner

A few weeks ago I made a post about my missing cat Leela through PawBoost. On March 30th I received an email from a Claire Margolis, in which she said she came across the post and wanted to “give me peace of mind” and tell me that Leela had walked into her hse “on her own” in early February. Although Leela was wearing a collar the day she went missing, Claire decided that her “dogs and cats” were not enough yet and kept Leela for herself. After I explained to her that Leela was wearing a collar, which should tell her that she belongs to someone, as well as letting her know that our family has been heartbroken since she went missing and offering to pay for Leela’s vet bill, Claire did not reply. So, I wanted to share this with anyone who has not gotten a chance to chip their pets yet. Do it, do it soon because there are selfish, miserable people out there who will just decide to keep what’s not theirs. When Leela first came into our , the very next day, I went to the vet to check for a chip, I looked online for any reports of missing cats. I wanted to find her family and when we didn’t, we decided to let her join ours. There are people who will do the right thing. And then there’s Claire Margolis. I hope Claire Margolis sees this and I hope karma gets her back. The photo I will attach is from Claire Margolis. If you recognize her tattoo, I hope you shame her for what she has done. We need fewer people like her in this world. To anyone who was looking out for Leela and shared her post: Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. But it is no longer necessary, as we have lost her forever.

L Dexter Price did you read the whole post? Or do you just automatically post the same advice every time? Someone informed her that they are keeping her cat - the cat is no longer lost. Your ‘advice’ makes no sense if actually read the post.

Put litterbox outside so he or she can smell their own scent and find their way home easier. Don’t leave food outside because that could attract predators or stray cats and scare he or she off. Go for a walk around the area and call from the car then sit outside your house and call for him or her and also just talk in your normal voice and have a conversation with someone. They eventually hear you and smell their scent and find their way. Repeat this every day until she or he comes home. Also check neighbor garages.
