I would also suggest contacting shelters in surrounding counties because some people don’t know which county shelter to take it to. I’d check with watsonville/Santa Cruz, Hollister and Gilroy just in case, in addition to Hitchcock

If chipped report to chip company as lost. Post on next-door and pawboost. Check shelter. Knock on neighbors doors in the area. Hang flyers. Post on Neighbors Ring app. Place some of your dirty clothes outside your door so pup can pick up the scent.
