Can’t get a hold of owner. I have sent an email no reply back. I have a black cat that’s been staying in my back yard. She’s scared. But eats the food that I leave for her outside. It’s hard to get her since she’s scared. She looks exactly like her.

Flyers are very important. They are best if they are put in an upside down zip gallon bag so they can be protected from the elements. It was just last week that both the dog and a cat were reunited by Flyers alone since the person that found both of them did not have social media. If you adopted from a rescue they usually like to know ASAP that a former animal is missing. If your cat has a microchip is good to make sure That your contact information is up to date so you can be contacted if your cat is found. Cats tend to stay close to home before they wander so time is of the essence. Make sure your cat is not in the garage in a closet and a dresser drawer or behind furniture which often happens. I've heard of a few cats returning home in the past few years when the owner left their garage open about 5 in and put a worn piece of clothing and the inside of the garage near the opening to help attract the catch if it comes close back to home but not too wide, so you do not attract unwanted animals. It's a good idea to check local animal control in person daily since things change very often. It's also good to check at local rescues and shelters on a daily basis. It's also good to check for your cat down your block at dawn and dusk with a flashlight in shrubbery and underneath decks and porches to hopefully catch a glimpse of your cat's eyes. They are usually scared and usually will not even respond and hopefully a flashlight will catch a glimpse of them. If you have Neighbors RING app It's good to post your lost cat and also ask if any neighbors can check their cameras to see if they can catch a glimpse of your cat passing by. I believe the ring app covers a 5 mi radius. I hope your cat is soon back home safely and hope to hear some good news.....
