A good list of things to do is on the Toronto Humane Society website, as well as (Click on the link www.catsinthebag.org itself.) Get signs up (not everyone uses fb, and the more eyes looking the better) and file a lost report with Toronto Animal Services and local shelters (and keep checking their listings). Make sure your microchip is registered, and your info is up to date with the company too. Sorry to hear your kitty is missing. Your cat is nearby probably on your property hiding somewhere close by. Put out worn clothing of the cats favourite human. Clothing has to be worn so that she can pick up on the scent. Also include perhaps her cat bed and blanket anything with the cats scent outside. Leave a window and a door slightly open so that she can find a way back into the house. Go out at Dawn and Duck especially with a flashlight and check underneath bushes, trees, cars, desks, patio furniture. Shake a bag of your cats favourite treats or food calling kitties name calmly. Look at every nook and cranny. It’s scared and hiding. If you possible leave a window or door slightly open so kitty can get back inside. Be sure to secure other pets you might have. Go door to door and let your neighbours know your cat is missing. Create flyers and hand out to your neighbours. If you can offer a reward it will encourage others to look for your Kitty. Do don’t leave her litter box outside it will attract animals that’s will scare the cat away. Is your cat and microchipped? If so call the company and report the cat missing. Make sure your contact information is up to date. Report your cat missing to your local SPCA. Go into your local SPCA check out the kitties that were recently brought in. Follow the tips and you will find your cat. Don’t give up hope. Just keep going out looking for your cat. Good luck.

- [ ] The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kitty’s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Don’t give up.

Put posters in plastic sleeve protectors. Use clear packing tape to wrap multiple times around the pole at the top and at the bottom. But the main thing is just get a flashlight sit outside and call for her She might come running up to you. Especially when it’s really quiet in the middle of the night. If your cat is confident in friendly, she might come up to you if you just sit out there and just call her with some treats

Holy fuk if your apartment window screen is open and then she probably didn’t get out Geez us OK well good news says she’s going to be close by. She’s gonna be close to your building. Get a flashlight. Of strong, one with high luminosity and walk around and look she’s literally gonna be close by to your building probably within 500 feet look on a map google maps how far away 500 feet is Your poor out of somewhere out there. I promise you he’s close by hiding somewhere. Unfortunately, how can I get back if it’s an apartment ask anybody with a camera any property with a Camera or house with the camera to monitor? Also do some posters and leave one at least in the lobby of every building near you

Go out around 2AM with smelly food or treats and call softly for him. Have neighbors check sheds and garages. Post lots of signs. Also a good idea to stick notes through your neighbour’s door or mailbox for them to check their properties.

Shared. If you have not yet done so, notify Toronto Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Carefully check around your home and property, focusing on small, hidden spots like closets, dresser drawers and hidden nooks and crannies, as cats often hide nearby when scared. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot her searching for food. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Also alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Cats will usually stay near the door they left for a day or two before searching for food. Leave her used littler and some food and water in hidden places near that door now and check in the morning. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5-10 block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make an loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.
