*Put BRIGHTLY COLORED signs out in the area with Benji's picture and your contact info on them. Not everyone is on social media and the signs will be visible to kids, neighbors and delivery people. *Be sure to check other 'Lost'/'Found' sites, including community pages and Nextdoor. Some people will post on one and not others. *If you have wooded areas nearby, check them. Dogs can get tangled up in brush *Don't limit your search to just the immediate area. Dogs can travel long distances, especially if they're with other dogs. *Leave a garage or porch door partially open in case he comes back when you're asleep or not home. Be sure to check footage of any security cameras you might have for the same reason. *Put some recently worn clothing with your scent on them outside the door, like dirty socks. Also something with Benji's scent on it, like bedding. *Take a flashlight and look anywhere he could hide - under steps, porches, houses and any OUTBUILDINGS/SHEDS he could have gotten closed up in. The flashlight will reflect his eyes *Check with neighbors, especially those who have dogs. *Look near sources of water *Check with vets in the area in case he was brought in with an injury or to be scanned for a chip *Go out early morning and late evening to call and LISTEN for him. If he's scared or unwell, he may not respond immediately to being called but he might 'answer' you. *Don't forget to check your county animal control, IN PERSON and often. I hope you find him soon! 🙏🏻
