*** UPDATE 3/7/23 *** Rescue volunteers have this girl in their care as of Sunday, 3/5/23. I do not believe the owner has come forward as of yet. Original message: Day 2 of seeing this pup, female(?), at the park near the Montgomery Dam. Several attempts by police and rescuers have failed to coax her to safety.

Our live traps are never set without us actually being on site and monitoring them. We have been doing recovery for over 10 years. Unfortunately too many people are feeding her and she’s not coming to our feeding station. We appreciate everyone’s eyes on her but we need everyone to leave her alone so she will get comfortable and we can safely retrieve her.

Virginia Sprawka I think too many variables makes this risky. 1) She could get trapped and freak out harming herself in the trap 2) there are fox, racoon, and coyotes in abundance around here, trapping her could make her easy prey. 3) I am unable to monitor the trap 24/7 to prevent any of this. 4) I don't own a live trap, one would have to be big enough to contain a dog approx. 80-100 lbs. But as you can see, the thought has been entertained.

How about setting a live trap or two with dog food in the area where the dog is hanging out.

@3 PM 3/2/23 the Montgomery Police and a rescue org. are trying to catch her, not much luck so far . . .
