Message from Owner

We lost our beloved 5-year-old cat, Princess, on July 6, 2026. She was born outdoors and is very familiar with the neighbourhood. She enjoys going outside in good weather but always comes home, so it is highly unusual for her to be missing. Two of her kittens are waiting for her return, and we are very worried that something may have happened to her. Please help bring Princess home. If you have seen her or have any information, please contact us. Thank you for your support. 🐾💜

- [ ] The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kitty’s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Don’t give up. She might be stuck somewhere. Ask your neighbours if you can accompany them and check garages and sheds. A friends cat was missing for 18 days and it was picked up on a surveillance camera in a walled backyard. He had gotten in but couldn’t get out. He was tucked under a BBQ cover.

Go out around 2AM with smelly food or treats and call softly for her. Have neighbors check sheds and garages. Post lots of signs. Also a good idea to stick notes through your neighbour’s door or mailbox for them to check their properties.

Shared. If you have not yet done all these things do so ASAP, if you have do them again and go further in your search. Notify Toronto Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Carefully check around your home and property, focusing on small, hidden spots like closets, dresser drawers and hidden nooks and crannies, as cats often hide nearby when scared. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Cats will usually stay near the door they left for a day or two before searching for food. Leave her used litter and some food and water in hidden places near the door she left NOW and check late tonight and in the morning. Advise local feral cat feeders who may spot her searching for food. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5+ block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.
