Message from Owner

Tom tom is an indoor/outdoor cat. We have tried to keep him inside, but his love is the outdoors. He never ventures far. This time he has went out Monday evening and hasn't returned. Very unlike him. He's friendly and will let anyone pet him, but only his head - never his back. He has a slight limp when walking. We got him at 2 and he spent those first 2 years living outdoors so he definitely knows how to persevere.

Try a live trap, they are fairly cheap, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street. Eventually she was found eating hamburger in the trap on my front porch and all was right again. It took about 3 weeks for her to show up and i did have to release squirrels and possums along the way which were easy. Tuna in oil also makes a lot of scent. Make sure there's water too. If its cold out, wrap the trap in a blanket and make sure to check it often, check it often no matter what the weather is. In fact, best to keep a camera on it. I believe in Jane's case, the live trap was her only chance. Best of luck and a swift resolve for you I hope

My cats loved the outdoors too. And bc of my misguided allowance all 3 disappeared in the same morning by either being trapped and relocated, or worse, or coyotes got them. And we live in a Taylors neighborhood, not rural. Keep all cats inside at all costs. They WILL adjust. So sorry for your missing TomTom and hope he returns or is found very soon.
