Duchess is Missing in Arlington, VA

Hi neigbors. We are still looking for Duchess, our white Persian mix kitty who got lost in the morning of June 27th. Duchess is an indoor-only cat, and she has zero survival skills outside, and she is 11-plus years old, so I am worried for her health, possible dehydration, etc. We're brand new to the neighborhood, as we are a State Department family who just returned last Monday from an overseas assignment in Kazakhstan. Duchess has been with us for ten years, after we got her from a pound in Korea where she was 20 minutes away from being put down due to being in poor physical shape and severely matted. She's been our beloved goofy furball ever since, and we all miss her terribly. Our other cat is barely eating and drinking now, and she is roaming around the hse, meowing and looking for Duchess. I am posting a few new pictures. Duchess gets very fluffy and her fur gets matted quickly because she doesn't let us brush her out properly. She's had her annual haircut a couple of weeks ago, so her body has short hair, but the head and tail are still fluffy. Please feel free to share this post in any other groups, or spread the word in any way possible. We put some lost cat signs around the neighborhood, my apologies if they are unsightly, I promise I will go around and take them down as soon as we find Duchess. We had one of our kind neighbors sharing a video of Duchess hanging out in their driveway around 12th and Ohio yesterday at 2:30 am. So we know she is around, and we hope someone will see her and know to contact us. My number is. She is fully vaccinated and microchipped, and typically very friendly, although that might change if she is too freaked out in an unfamiliar setting. If she doesn't run, feel free to grab her. Or just call me and I will get there asap. Duchess has been reported lost to AWLA and Animal Control, as well as to pet microchip tracking sites. Please help us bring her home!
