Message from Finder

I found this girl at 8am on 4/22/26 - she was sitting at the edge of English Creek and Liberty School Rd. The man that lives across the street said he heard a car door shut at 2am, take off then heard barking. He called the police thinking someone may be trying to enter a nearby but it was the dog being dumped. He and the police officer were unable to catch her. She sat at the edge of the road all night long waiting for her people to come back. At first she did growl at me a little but she was just scared. I was able to catch her after allowing her to get comfortable with me and brought her to my hse so she would be out of the road. I could not keep her as I have several dogs of my own that would not get along with her. She has an ear infection, has on a thick black collar, hopped in my truck with no problem, was easy to leash and walked just fine on the leash. Appears to be middle aged due to the yellowing of her teeth and white around her snout. She has had puppies at some point of her life. I was not able to see if she had a spay scar on her belly. Fort Worth animal control picked her up. I am outside the city limits so the Azle shelter would not take her. She was friendly with the officers that picked her up. They scanned her for a chip in the truck but didnt find one. She will go on a 4 day stray hold, get a medical evaluation, her whole body will be scanned for a chip then she will be . I never want to send an animal to the shelter bc we all know that few actually make it out but she was a very good girl and I am hopeful she will get adopted. I will be checking in on her at the shelter as well. If you are interested in adopting this girl please let me know and I am happy to assist with getting her to you.

So beautiful! Praying she receives a foster, rescue or new forever loving family soon.
