Message from Owner

Please look out for my baby girl, Kai. She's a bit shy with people, but I'm hoping she'll let someone take her in if she's hungry and tired. She escaped from my apmt and went flying off into the trees along Barham Blvd. She was headed for the hses in Hollywood Knolls near Primera Ave last I saw her Thursday evening. She's very sweet, not bitey.

Awwwww , What a Gorgeous baby!! And, a very, Very, VERY smart baby! So, yes, If you haven’t already, it’s really Not too late to Put the cage outside as he will recognize that but not your house if he goes far. Also, straight down is very difficult for birds so when found in a tree it’s best not to stand right under him , stand at more of an angle and call with your fingers /arm out for him to land, a treat, Whatever he’s familiar with… if you Don’t see him… Call and call and call so he has a direction to head. He’s looking for You too! 🙏🏻💕🥺🦜 Keep checking back on this site, lost and found cockatiels and other companion pets site,NextDoor sites, and other local pet sites! Lost and found birds of the US is another that has lots of foundlings🙏🏻🙏🏻 Go to birdtricks. com as they offer a free pdf of “recovering your lost bird” that is Super helpful too. They also have A flyer template you can update with His pic and place around...”🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Recruit neighbors, their kids, the mailman, Amazon and UPS Drivers etc. Alert PD, Pet stores, Vets, and shelters as well. 🙏🏻💕🦜

Posted on Lost and Found birds of the US. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18TGjjenJj/?mibextid=wwXIfr We are so sorry to hear your bird is missing. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
