FOUND DOG — Black-and-white Border Collie near E. Main St. and Allen Ave. Last night, my wife and I were driving west on Main Street when we saw this dog running in and out of traffic near the corner of E. Main St. and Allen Ave., just southeast of the Columbus Public Health campus. He came very close to being hit several times. We stopped, and he immediately ran over to us. He was very friendly, so we were able to safely get him into our car. He has a rabies tag but no other identification. We contacted the Franklin County Dog Shelter, but they were not able to match the tag to an owner. They said it still may help identify him and asked us to have him scanned for a microchip, which we will do as soon as we are able. Hopefully later today. He is currently safe in our home, has been fed, and is resting comfortably. He seems well cared for and may have gotten spooked during yesterday’s storms. He is incredibly sweet, and we would love to reunite him with his family. Please message me if you recognize him or know who his owners may be. Proof of ownership will be requested.
