Message from Owner

She can't see well as she has Symblepharon (conjunctival to cornea) and her Left eye is smaller than her right eye. She's really sweet and loves to always be with one of her siblings (I couldn't find a pic where it was just her as she's always cuddling with another cat). She's real small for a 1yr 3mo cat (~2.6lbs). We still have no idea how she got out, but she has always been so curious and wants to explore everything. I've never had a cat escape before, so I'm desperate trying to find her. I've done everything the vets and shelters have told us.

Hang big signs everywhere even on your mailbox. Ask neighbors to check their ring cameras. Contact the microchip company and report lost also contact your vet and let them know too. Contact local rescues and shelters in person pictures can look different online. Contact local businesses, schools, vet offices, police and fire stations, pet stores, groomers, churches. Set up a scent trail using your dirty laundry outside. Prayers you find your baby ♥️

My indoor only male black cat got out once. We put out all the scents. Old blankets, our unwashed clothes, his scratch post, his empty dirty litter box, vacuum dust etc. My nextdoor neighbor would see him trying to return during the day while we were at work. Then get scared and run off into nearby woods. I started setting my alarm for 3am while it was quiet and go out calling him. Finally after 5 days I heard him crying in very thick bushes Nextdoor to our house. I saw his eyes with my flashlight. I had to literally crawl to get him. He was like afraid to move. I finally got him . They usually don’t travel far. They will hunker down close by.

If your cat is an indoor cat, it will be scared and won’t come when called. Try placing their used litter outside. At night, use a flashlight to check under your and your neighbors' bushes and decks for the reflection of your cat's eyes. Additionally, consider setting up a humane trap as soon as possible, as it's one of the most effective methods for finding lost cats. You can bait the trap with strong-smelling sardines. These traps can be purchased at local hardware stores or borrowed from animal shelters. While this approach might seem drastic, remember that lost pets often enter survival mode and behave differently. Be sure to research how to use a humane trap effectively. Make sure to visit local animal shelters in person and look for your missing kitty, and post flyers within a one-mile radius of where your kitty went missing. There are also many valuable resources available online if you search for "how to find your missing cat." Important Note: Be cautious of scåmmers who may claim they have found your cat or offer drøne services. It's best not to engage with them.

The only way a lost cat can find its way home is with its nose. Immediately put out the dirty litter box. Do not leave the litter box out overnight. Predators come at night. Only do this during the day...The dirtier the better. Put the litter box out along with anything that stinks of you like your smelly socks something that you sweated in overnight your stinky sneakers. Get everything outside immediately and remember to pull in that litter box when it gets dark out, leaving out all of your smelly clothes shoes socks underwear etc. Cats usually stay within a five house radius of their own home for up to a week sleeping in the bushes and coming out at dusk Dawn and late at night. These are good times to take walks shaking the treat bag and calling for them. Cats can smell up to a whole mile away. So do that immediately and also put this on nextdoor. com and the other lost and found pet sites. Go on those sites looking at pics of found cats too. There might be a match. They tend to come home late at night or early in the morning so if you can keep a window cracked or a door cracked so at least you hear them. Good luck
