***Please check for microchip. Also see if flyers are posted in the area he/she was found. Search on Pawboostand Lostmykitty to try to find the owner, and post those sites also that you found this companion animal. Pawboost has a high rate of success in reuniting companion animal family members. Be sure to get legitimate proof of ownership if someone claims the ate; if any doubts, don't surrender the cat.
If you can't hold the cat till his/her guardian is found, safely indoors away from dangers, please email 75-100+ reputable no- rescue groups from Mayor's Alliance and Chewy's lists of rescues, by copy and pasting email addresses into BCC line (email works best). At least one rescue group will offer help; that is my experience for 30 years, every time. No need to bring found animals to the city shelter, which euthanizes, due to overpopulation and abandonment crisis.
It is very dangerous offering an animal on the Worldwide web. There are those who search for such ads especially when people sound desperate and when offered for free to use as bait in dogfighting; torture as revenge or sadistic pleasure; to sell them for drugs, breed them to sell kittens; neglect, abuse, etc.Read More
Any new pet added within 2 miles of your location will be automatically shared to your Nextdoor feed.
