Message from Owner

We are just lost right now we’ve been searching all morning for our bubby.. he’s very special to us and has a bond with our ten year old daughter and also my husband who he spends every morning with while my husband gets ready for work, bubby lays on his clothes and talks to my husband. He’s a huge part of our family, we are worried as to where he would go. The couple times he did get let out he stayed right by the hse and meowed at the door, we just want to bring our kitty safely! Please keep a eye out for him. He’s very friendly.

Some of us were not raised in Utah; what city is silver lake a part of?

I hope some of these ideas will help: Tips to Help a Missing Cat Find its Way Home 🐈🐾🐈‍⬛ Most cats stay nearby, however, be aware that they are great at hiding and can fit into small/tight spaces that you wouldn’t expect. CAUTION: Put his/her litter box on the porch (or in your garage with the door opened a few inches) along with a blanket or article of clothing that has his scent and yours on it. *Be advised that a litter box can invite other cats or predators to your property* Check frequently to see if he’s out there. They can smell from a long ways away. Look in sheds, garages, under cars and bushes, up in trees, and in window wells. Also, look carefully inside your house. Sometimes cats just hideout. Ask your neighbors if you can look in their backyards and sheds (he may be trapped inside). Remember, if you have a garage keep the door open enough so he can get inside. It’s also a good idea put something of his out there, so he can identify that he’s found his home. Put up flyers and go to local animal shelters IN PERSON—don’t just call! Make sure you give them all the pertinent information about your missing cat (giving them photos helps, too). The best time to look for him is late at night and early in the morning when it’s quiet out. Call his name softly and listen for him to answer—shaking his favorite treat container can also be helpful. Return to places you have looked and search those areas again. 🐾

Put litter box out. They can smell it up to a mile, which is as far as they usually go. It brought my cat back. Best
