Thank you for helping this baby. After checking with neighbors, can you take him/her to check for a chip? If they say no chip, please have them do several full body scans as chips can move and scanners can fail/be faulty. A woman brought a dog to the vet and they said no chip. They brought it to the shelter and a chip was found after 2 tries 😳.

Caroline Whatley we scanned her. No chip. We are going to be careful. My daughter will foster her while we search for owner. My daughter works with dogs for a living and has rescued many. Thank you for the advice.

Shared! search the lost section of pawboost. Vets can scan for chip. whatever you do get hard proof of ownership and veterinary references for any fosters or adopters and CALL them as people search these sites for bait dogs and backyard breeding. Send women and kids to get them to not raise red flags.
