If they're microchipped call the microchip company right away and have them verify that his chip is registered and all your contact information is current and accurate

🚨I just want to give you a heads up to beware of a scam going around. If someone texts you saying they found your pet (and they typically use the pets name) and then asks you to send them the 6 digit code they just sent you to verify if you're the real owner DO NOT SEND THEM THAT CODE!!!! These are hackers that try to hack google accounts using the forgot password options and have google send a verification code to your phone. Do NOT give anyone any code. They will hack your google, phone and everything attached to them. These jerks are very dirty and play off lost pet owners emotions and desperation. So if you get a text asking you to send a 6 digit code to get your pet back. Delete the message and block the number. They are relentless. Just a warning for you to watch out for
