if missing a cat: put the dirty litter box out, a piece of your clothing that you have recently worn. It can help the cat find it's way back, as cats can smell their own boxes from a great distance. Go to the humane soc or shelter in person. Check barns, sheds, and garages in the area. Call out at night when the cat may hear you. And wait to see if it meows..
