Message from Owner

Please help me find our baby Cupid. She needs for her eye and has never been outside. She was recently rescued and is chipped. I know she is scared and just wants to get home.

Very good advice in these comments & I will add…go out often day & night with her favorite bag of treats & shake it gently while calling her name softly. Since she’s indoor only, she’ll be within 3-5 homes on either side or across the street. Also, look inside the gutter drains at the curbs & call her in a low voice while shaking her bag of treats. Look up into trees as well. Cats easily climb them but it’s hard for some to get down. πŸ™πŸΎπŸΎπŸ™

Leave some of your laundry outside your home to help him find his way home by scent. Also leave a door, lower window, garage door cracked open enough for him to find a way back into the home. They normally try to get back inside the same way they got out. If he is scared, he may be moving at night when it is quieter and looking for a way back inside. Hope this helps πŸ™

Put out food, water, and some of YOUR dirty clothes (dirty socks are nice and stinky)/blankets (dry in dryer first to enhance smell). because of the weather, you might want to put out a plastic tub with the blankets for shelter. Go out every morning and evening walking (folks seem successful around 10:30 p.m., but don't go alone) with food/treats in bowl rattling it, calling your cats name. Do NOT give up. There was a cat a week or so ago, they went out every night for 5 nights, finally on the 5th night, they heard it's meow, it was trapped in a neigbors shed. Another was hiding in a tree from the neighbor's dogs. Check buildings, bushes, trees, and storm drains around your house. Also in the house/garage, keep all doors/closets open in case it's hiding in the house. Put neon Lost Cats signs all over your neighborhood, give to vets, and the shelter. Also have magnets made of your lost cat sign and stick on your car. Contact the chip company if chipped. Post to Lost Cats facebook page, petfbi.org, nextdoor.com, and pawboost.com (ignore cost, do not put in credit card info, its free)
