❤️ COWAN HAS BEEN FOUND! ❤️ After an incredibly long, emotional week, Cowan is finally home. We found him at the Townsend Wye just as the river was rapidly rising from the thunderstorms. He was dangerously close to being swept away by the rushing water, and we truly believe we found him just in time. He is exhausted, underweight, and will be receiving veterinary care as we begin helping him recover from nearly a week alone in the Smoky Mountains. While we are beyond grateful to have him back, his journey isn’t quite over yet. We cannot begin to express our gratitude to everyone who helped bring him home. Thank you to the National Park Service staff, the volunteers who spent countless hours searching, every person who shared our posts, reported sightings, slowed down to watch the roads and river, and kept our family in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness gave us hope when we needed it most. This experience has shown us just how incredible people can be. Complete strangers gave their time, resources, and compassion to help reunite our family with our best friend, and we will never forget that. Many of you have asked how you can continue to help. Susan Libbey we did do that today. No luck unfortunately. We left socks and a shirt and underwear, hoping we can spot him tomorrow. Or anyone spot him and pull him in.

Marissa Staneluis maybe park at the pull off and spend the day there. He may come around, they have excellent sense of smell and if you leave an article of clothing there with your scent on it that may help
