Missing a member of the family. Please check your outbuildings. I'm sure she wants to be inside.

I’m sorry Ken that you are going through this. I have learned over 70 years of taking care of my own cats and about 100 strays and I’ve always remember telling myself never give up hope. I’ve had many show up two or three years later. Cats are extremely smart. I didn’t hear you mentioned that you looked in every nook and cranny inside your house and/or garage or any outbuildings. I’ll pray that your kitty shows up. looking at her coat she looks like she had a very good camouflage going on. I wish you good luck and please keep us posted.🐾🙏🏻❤️

Paula Ratner thanks for the tips Paula! Elsie was an indoor cat all right, but she knew her way around the 4 sides of the house. I've done most all those things you mentioned. Flyers in all the neighbors mailboxes, Street sign, FB, notified my vet, etc. she was chipped, but no collar. It's been two weeks now. Unfortunately I live on the edge of a wooded area next to a lake. I learned that a neighbor had their daschound attacked by an owl about a month ago. It survived, but I'm guessing my car did not. It's just hard to process that she was gone in 30 minutes during the daylight. Believe me, I looked for her so night with a powerful headlamp. She was a wonderful companion.

If it’s an indoor cat it doesn’t usually go far from home maybe a couple houses down they also use the sewers to travel so if you have a sewer entrance on your street there’s usually a couple of them call its name rattle a treat jar. At night go out with a flashlight look under cars in bushes in window walls and again call the name. Put the dirty cat box out on your front porch with a can of smelly food for cats and something with your scent on its scent. I’ll pray that your kitty comes home soon.🐾❤️🙏🏻 also leave your garage door open about 18 inches if you have one so when it does come back home it has a safe place to get into. And let your neighbors know that your cat is missing that always helps.
