✅ don't wait to IMMEDIATELY start KNOCKING ON DOORS in several neighborhoods - not just to the end of the street - up to 5 mi radius. it's always recommended to search a wider radius than a smaller one. MANY lost animals are SIGHTED or SECURED the same day they went missing by someone NEARBY who may not be on social media. having people CHECK their SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE is a great way to give you his LAST KNOWN LOCATION or if someone is seen picking him up. several lost pets are safe with a neighbor who might not know the steps to take finding the owner

✅ sometimes Good Samaritans take lost pets to these locations instead of the shelter. check with all of that and animal hospitals within a 5-mile radius

• age? • is he chipped? • wearing collar with contact info or ID tag? • friendly and approachable? • skittish - do not chase? provide location providing this information helps us help you find him, share your post and search shelters if he's chipped

✅ give flyers to mail carriers, delivery drivers, gardeners and landscapers, trash collectors, school crossing guards, school bus drivers, maintenance workers, kids on scooters/bikes and any one in neighborhoods on a daily or weekly basis
