I have a dog with a very similar growth. She is not a candidate for surgery and it doesn’t bother her at all. She sees the vet multiple times a year for that and other medical issues….I spend hundreds a month on alone. She is 14 and has had impeccable vet care her whole life. Don’t judge without knowing the dog’s medical history.

Lisa Peters Flaherty , thanks Lisa. I tried, but I don't have permission to change or edit this post, unfortunately. When I try it just offers to add me to a waiting list.

Lori Bender & Kaitlynn Chretien you are correct! I had a Sheltie who had a big lump under left front arm, like in the pit area, we opted to have it removed because WE thought it bothered her, our original vet said it probably didn’t bother her, but she was on vacation and fill in vet talked us into having it removed, we thought we were doing the right thing…mind you she never acted like it bothered her she ran around like nothing was wrong with her, happy go lucky. She was only 7 years old after the surgery she went downhill so fast, keep going back and forth to the vet, and she got to the point that she couldn’t even get up on her own, went to the vet expecting to let her go and my original vet said no I think she just needs some antibiotics, and prednisone, and I think we can turn her around. Unfortunately, she didn’t turn around and we had to let her go 2 weeks later. We swore we would never put a dog thru surgery again for a lump especially when she was so full of life before the surgery. 😥💔people can say and think what they want till they actually walk in your shoes…they have no idea😥💔🤦🏼‍♀️
