I am constantly on the hunt for information leading me to my Bengal, everyday I spend at least an hour looking at photos and looking for that missing bit of information that will lead me to the person that has Jimmy. It is heartbreaking to see how many pets come up missing everyday and worse yet is the amount of them that are actually stolen by someone probably looking to resell them. Everyone hates a thief but it amazes me how many of those that hate a thief will think it is perfectly fine to keep a stolen pet because they think the previous owner doesn't deserve to own a pet or because they fall in love with your pet and don't want to return it. If you are one of those people it is no different, you are a thief. There are several pet rescues that basically promote this kind of action. If you allow your pet to become lost they don't think you deserve to have it returned to you and they will do their best to see that someone else gives your pet a new home. I sincerely believe that is what happen in my situation. There was a post with the persons name in it that has my Bengal. When I came upon that post I never expected it to be deleted almost immediately after I seen it and started asking questions or I would have written all the information down on paper. After the post was deleted I ask the admin if they knew who deleted it and if they could retrieve the post for me but they only sent me details on how to search for a missing pet. I really think they are one of the places involved in seeing that I never have Jimmy returned to me. If you are missing a pet don't be surprised if people are working against you getting it back.
