Message from Owner

Butters is almost 3 years old and has never left the hse until now. He loves attention and likely got picked up and kept by someone in the area, as he is a very loving and loyal lapdog. His dog tag was found on my property pulled off by my other dog, who misses playing with him so much. She's been waiting on my picnic table every day outside watching and hoping for him to return

General Information: Set up a scent station. Get a scent that the dog is familiar with out in front of the house (EX Worn clothing / shoes from a family member that the dog lives with.) Hang it out high so that the smell can travel and guide the dog back home. Keep an access point open in case the dog returns. Please post signs with the dogs' picture and your contact information on the sign. Post these signs all over as if someone spots your dog the person can contact you and provide a location of where the dog is. (Not everyone is on Social Media). Ask your neighbors to check their doorbell or house cameras (if applicable), sheds and garage. Owners: Do not try and search for the dog - as your scent travels when you are out and walking all over can confuse the dog. The dog should only smell your scent near your home. Never underestimate the ability of a dog to find their way home using their nose. Call or go to the Animal Shelter in your area and tell them that your dog is missing to see if it has been picked up. Prayers your dog is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Never leave dogs alone outside unattended, unsecured, unleashed!! Keep them secured inside! Post flyers. How do you know your other dog pulled his tag off? Maybe it was a person who found him?!! Or stole him?! Or a coyote?! Post to Homestead and county lost pets groups. Notify shelters, check in person daily, chip company - hope your dogs are microchipped?!! Check cameras, homeless encampments.
