Midas's Owner/Finder Says

Thank you so much for keeping an eye out for our missing kitty! He was thankfully found (using a humane trap) a few blocks from home. Knowing that we had all the resources and information out to keep watch for him made all the difference!

Put his litter box outside they can smell it for miles.put your clothes with your sent on it and they stay close to your house because they are scared to be outside and hiding in the shrubs and hedges. Look for him in the evening softly calling his name with a flash light and don't give up. This is how we got our cat back after 3weeks with the help of our vet. WARNING IF YOU LIVE OUT OF THE ENTER CITY YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE LITTER BOX 24 7 FOR OTHER ANIMALS AND PREDATORS ALL THE TIME please. Check all the shelters close to you in person every few days.put your dirtiest laundry and his food and toys and cat tree on the porch and water.

Put out some of YOUR dirty clothes (dirty socks are nice and stinky)/blankets (dry in dryer first to enhance smell). because of the weather, you might want to put out a plastic tub with the blankets for shelter. Go out every morning and evening walking (folks seem successful around 10:30 p.m., but don't go alone) with food/treats in bowl rattling it, calling your cats name. Do NOT give up. There was a cat a week or so ago, they went out every night for 5 nights, finally on the 5th night, they heard it's meow, it was trapped in a neigbors shed. Another was hiding in a tree from the neighbor's dogs. Check buildings, bushes, trees, and storm drains around your house. Also in the house/garage, keep all doors/closets open in case it's hiding in the house. Put neon Lost Cats signs all over your neighborhood, give to vets, and the shelter. Also have magnets made of your lost cat sign and stick on your car. Contact the chip company if chipped. Post to Lost Cats facebook page, petfbi, and nextdoor
