Still can't find your pet? 1. Have you posted 👉👉three times a day on next door AND Neighbors by ring? (NOT THE RING APP) 👉👉 Have you commented on your post two or three times to get it going? 👉👉 Have you continued to comment for a few days so everyone in your neighborhood to see it? Or did you just post and move on to post somewhere else? 2. Did you put a reward in the first sentence? 👉👉👉With the amount? 3. Did you put a reward AND your phone number plus ONE BIG CLEAR picture of your pet on all the garages on your street? And the one behind your house? If that didn't work... 4. Did you call all the veterinarians within 10 miles of you to see if A PET MATCHING YOUR PETS DESCRIPTION was brought in injured or deceased hit by a car? 5. Did you call the local police department and ask for dispatch and see if anyone reported a deceased pet matching yours description for dead animal pickup? 6. Did you crop everything out of the picture but your pet and put it on Petco love lost?

The rate of finders keepers increases in Low Middle income neighborhoods and it's even worse in very poor neighborhoods. I'm not sure what type of neighborhood this dog is missing him. But when a pet goes missing I consider these things first and that tells me which methods the owner needs to use. 1. Breed of dog Matters because: People are more prone to take in small dogs over large dogs. Expensive and pure breed dogs are more likely to be found and kept or stolen. In low income neighborhoods dogs are largely ignored wandering the streets or founding kept. There's a much higher mentality of if it's free it's for me. Considering these things tells me if it's an urgent case. If it's urgent because of the breed, the dog is super tiny or super cute, or it's a very low income neighborhood a reward is almost always necessary. You have about a 48-hour window to get a reward on your post to get the person that found the pet to give it back. After that the chances of them giving your pet back goes down exponentially. This is because they don't see themselves as a thief they see themselves as a hero for rescuing an abandoned dog. After they've had it a couple days, they have likely bathed it, fed it, cuddled with it and named it. It's now theirs. So when they see the owner putting up Flyers? There's a good chance they will ignore them because it's their dog now. They often justify keeping someone else's pet when they can clearly see the owner is looking for it by telling themselves things like, I'm a better owner than they were. I would have never let my dog get out. They obviously weren't watching it very well so I'm going to keep it to make sure it's safe. It loves me and it needs me. The kids have decided they want to keep it. Etc

We have a huge issue with people finding and keeping other people's pets in arizona. In certain neighborhoods I would say it's around 70 to 80%. Many people do not know it's against the law. And some people just don't care.

Hopefully a nice person finds your dog and returns it. There are many homeless in the area and they will scoop your dog up very quickly. I would put a reward with the amount on my flyers and blast the area. You've got to find your dog before they do.
