Message from Owner

Our cat Whiskers didn't come home last night which is not usual behaviour from him and he doesn't wander far. He is an extremely loud, sweet, cuddly and social cat who drools for chin scratches and has never shown aggression to anyone over all the years my family has had him. He has previously crawled into a neighbours garage and gotten stuck for days, if you live near where we've last seen him he might be in yours. If you see him please let me and my family know, we miss him greatly and hope he's at least safe with someone who loves cats. If your child goes to William Aberhart using the CTrain they have most likely past our hse and seen or petted him over the years, please ask them if they've seen him.

*Keep trying what's listed....All the best in your beautiful cat's return,~💜💜 **Cats that get outside, they tend to panic & hide, usually close to home. When it's dark out, go outside with a flashlight or headlamp & look under every bush, vehicles anything they might go to for safety around your home. Watch for their Eyes to light up with the beam of the flashlight. Let neighbors know, they sometimes will get locked in an open shed & Put posters up. Leave out some bedding/clothing of theirs & yours, but NOT the litter box. Going out with a bag of treats OR whatever your cat loves to eat... calling their name. IF at all possible to leave a window or door open, when it's quiet many have come back. Continue looking & calling. The cat is scared & hiding & may have been chased. REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT If possible consider building a Catio - so much safer for kitties who like the sights/smells of outdoors. attached is one website to build, there are many - google or fb has many showing how to build one. https://thefurbearers.com/.../catio-season-why-cat.../

To the owner, if you haven’t already, go door to door in your community to ask your neighbours. There is a good chance that the cat is hiding in someone's yard. We found our cat once 7 houses’ away, he had been hiding under their deck and they took him in.

Go out at nite with a flashlight and their fav food, goodies or salmon and tuna. Look in bushes, under cars, etc. if u have a garage leave the door open a bit with his food or even a window. Make up posters and spread them around the area. Motion lights are helpful. Check the city, all rescue organizations and vets in your area every day.
