Please spread the word! I don't believe that this cat can fend for himself for any extended period of time.

DESCRIPTION

Stray (abandoned) cat that took up residence on my property for several months. Neutered (tipped ear). Not feral, yet skittish, with serious trust and anxiety issues. Ironically, he was a few days away from getting into a "foster home" through a local cat rescue. Then he just vanished, completely out of character for him. While he went missing near Conifer Court and Dune Court, I believe he could be far away from this location. As there is a neighbor who dislikes cats. Unfortunately this stray cat would cut across his property to get to mine. It is possible the neighbor trapped and relocated the cat. I am heartbroken, this cat was making progress, building trust and was just about to be fostered by a cat rescue (and when ready, put up for adoption).

Put a sign on your lawn saying lost cat. Lots of times someone found your pet and don't know where he lives. Post on websites of local shelters, the town pound and vet's offices. Put flyers every where in your immediate neighborhood offering a reward but don't mention an amount.... Alert mail carriers as well. Ask neighbors to check sheds and garages. Ask if anyone in your neighborhood feeds feral cats as he may be stopping by for a meal. He could have a girlfriend there as well. It is cat mating time now.....Set up a Have a Hart trap in your yard in a sheltered area and check it often. Prayers for a safe return.
