Description

Lost dog in Campbell. Last seen at home, on Adler and Nello Dr. Her name is Dot and is 5 years old but looks older because she is sick. She has a bad hip so she limps or walks a little odd, has one eye that is going blind and losing hair. She likes to go out in the front to sunbathe and must of got out when I was leaving with my 3 little ones to pick up my eldest daughter and didn’t notice. She’s very small, about 10-12 lbs. Here’s the most current photo of her before she started losing her hair and her health declining. Thank you in advance for any help on leads.

Dot's Owner Says

Thank you for everyone’s efforts to help find Dot!!! And thank you to whoever brought her to the shelter. So grateful, thank you!!!

For Dot’s people: You have likely done this already but if not, please post flyers in the area where Dot went missing (and/or last sighted), and knock on doors. Not everyone is on social media. You might also ask folks to check their security monitors... Might capture something useful in the footage. Also remember to check the Pawboost FOUND and SIGHTINGS listings, and with local animal shelters. And phone to ask their current protocols. I have heard that visiting in person to review their intake logs is the best way to get accurate information. Also consider posting on NextDoor. I hope to read a positive update on Dot soon.

Post to NextDoor Check shelter website 24petconnect .com City of San Jose Animal Care & Services Put up flyers Help her smell her way home: - Creating a dog scent station from a rescue who helps reunite pets. Take an unwashed article of THE OWNERS clothing.( Socks , Sheet, Underware & Hang it in a tree ,on a fence , a pole or edge of roof & put an article of unwashed clothes on ground below. The wind will carry the scent. If there is another dog in the home take that dog's fresh poop and rub it on a rag & hang it high . Open your gates. Your garage door , turn on all your lights. Put a rug or towel on porch with a bowl of water. Do not put the dog's bed or the dog's toys outside. The only scent we want is from the owners. Please do this ASAP. Rain or Shine.A dog can find its way back from miles by following a scent. They don't operate like humans on sight or sound. Also saturate the area with bright flyers.& file a lost report with your local shelters and check those in person in case your dog is there.
