If you don’t believe people when they say it’s a wild animal please contact Arrowhead Reptile Rescue about the best course of action for the turtle. They are experts.

what makes you think it's a pet? Could well be [and probably is ] a wild turtle on the move. Best action is to Call a reptile rehabber. " For injured or orphaned wild reptiles near Westwood, call Arrowhead Reptile Rescue at (513) 442-4377. They specialize in native reptiles and amphibians. For other local rescue or domestic rehoming needs, you can contact Nature Nurses Wildlife Rescue or explore options with the Ohio Pet Sanctuary". You could Try taking it back to where you found it and, facing the direction it was going, cross all streets, etc and let him go into shaded/wooded area and take care of his own business
