I found this turtle on the sidewalk on my walk home from work and want to get it back to its rightful owner as soon as possible

Please do NOT lift from the top s OR the edge of the top s. They have nerve endings in their ss & can feel pain. Scoop the from under their bottom s & carry them without pain.

Put it back where you found it! It was taken from its home and will search forever looking for the 1 square mile it lived in. It will die searching.

How do you even know it was someone's pet? It is illegal to have them as pets. Go put it back in the direction it was going off the sidewalk.
