That is a box turtle. Please take the turtle back. They only travel a mile in a circle their whole life. If you place it somewhere else it will wonder lost and die

Sounds like a satire joke to me. Box turtles live 100+ years and live in the same small area that entire time never traveling more than 1/2 a mile or so. Only time I bother them is to help one get across the road, I hope everybody does that for them 😁

Do not remove it from the area where you found it. Turtles travel in a small radius and if removed and can’t find their way home they stress and die.
