Pamala Monis Yes. The cat may belong to a neighbor who allows the cat to roam, or the cat may have been abandoned when someone moved out. The cat does not have a “tipped ear” (tip removed) meaning the cat has not previously been trapped, neutered and/or spayed and released back to the area from which it came, as a “street cat”. TNR prevents further litters of kittens born to suffer life on the streets. Neutering also stops male cats from spraying, which is “territory marking”. This cat has come around our house since at least March. We are on Dorrell at Ft Apache. He would sit at our back door wanting to fight our cat and he almost came through the dog door one night. Unfortunately our baby went missing in April and when I put food out for her this orange cat started coming every night. I shared photos with people who had posted missing orange cats in the area but no o e claimed him. Unfortunately the ants and pigeons took over my porch and I took the food inside for a day to clean up but then he didn’t come back. He seems sweet but skiddish. I tried to catch him but he always took off. I’m not sure he belongs to anyone.
