Message from Owner

Miso is my first cat and he has been missing after escaping his leash. He is very skittish and will run, I am looking for information and just need to know if he is okay. Thank you for your help.

Diana Ellis We have gone back to the original place he ran off to, no sign of him yet. We dropped some food yesterday and the food is gone. We are hoping it is him. We also set a trap a few days ago and he didn’t fall for it. Tomorrow I will revisit the site and take some fresh food along with a shirt of mine. I will keep you posted. Once again thank you!

Mirian San, if Miso was transported to the place where he was lost he is unlikely to find his way home and may have to be trapped at this location. Your best bet is to do as I suggested in my original comment and try getting him to come to you by setting out a familiar blanket at dusk, sitting low to the ground and opening some food. If you do as I described in my original comment and Miso does not approach and you can't wait any longer, I would leave something familiar (worn socks, towel, old shoe) in a few discreet places (under shrubs, for example) along with a small amount of food. If Miso finds a familiar item and/or something to snack on, he should stay there providing additional opportunities to trap him. Please keep me updated.

Kevin Maclary Thank you for your wishes and advice. I will continue to search for him across the neighborhood. Unfortunately, he ran off into the woods. The good thing is that there are houses nearby and neighborhoods. I will let them know about Miso’s situation ASAP thank you once again

Diana Ellis Hello, I took Miso in my car to the place he was last seen, it wasn’t far away and we had the windows down. He had been there before and knew the place well. I have searched for him the minute he ran off, a few hours later, during the night, and eventually the next day. I set a trap and he didn’t fall for it. I spotted him around the neighborhood near ours, but he sprinted off. I will return to the area I saw him today in hopes of finding any leads. Thank you for your advice.
