I have checked around for someone to trap it, but they expect me to do it and I am not an experienced trapper. I have heard horror stories about how the cat can injure itself in a trap if it is scared and tries to get out. So far the foxes haven't bothered it. Also, I am gaining its trust slowly and trapping would undo all of that. I haven't seen it since the snowstorm.

Cindy Fox The fox is dangerous. It will kill and eat the cat. I had it happen.

Yes, it is great that the kitty is getting regular food! If a rescue will supply the trap and show you how to use it, I expect you would not have any trouble doing it. I had to use one of the traps many years ago and recall that it was quite easy. Just in case you decide he needs to be caught... Thanks very much for helping him!
