Good news — Swifty is home! ❤️ Thank you so much for your concern when I told you she was missing. It was such a stressful morning. I hadn’t seen her since around 9:00 last night, and by this morning I had searched the entire house, gone around the neighbourhood, called vet clinics, spoken to neighbours, put up a missing post, and made flyers. My sister and nieces also came over and helped me search all around the backyards and common area. Eventually my sister suggested that I just sit quietly in the backyard for a while because Swifty might be scared and hiding with everyone walking around looking for her. I had put her food and litter outside, so I sat down and called a friend. She was telling me to stay positive and that hopefully Swifty would come back — and literally about five minutes later, Swifty came out from underneath the fence into my backyard and started eating her food! 😭❤️ She ran away again when I first tried to grab her and hid under a neighbour’s deck, so I had to slowly lure her back out with food. Eventually she came close enough that I was able to grab her and bring her inside. So she’s safe and home now, thank goodness. ❤️ I’m completely exhausted, but incredibly relieved. Thank you again for caring and for your support.

SWIFTY is beautiful. Now let’s find her. She will be very nervous and likely hiding not far from your home. When you’re out searching this evening take a flashlight with you. The light will shine off her eyes and makes it easier to locate her. Look under every veranda and bush and any tiny place she may be hiding. Ask your neighbours to search their garage and under their porch or perhaps they will allow you to. She may have also climbed up a tree, so look there as well. Take a bag of treats and shake them while calmly calling her name. Put up posters and contact shelters in your area every 3 days to see if she has been turned in. GOOD LUCK ❤
