PLEASE - as well as the Pawboost post, there are a few more things you can do to help find him. It is VERY IMPORTANT to make "Lost Cat" flyers and deliver them door-to-door for a five house radius in all directions from your home, to start with. A housecat will not usually wander far since they are not familiar with their surroundings, unlike a cat that roams. You can design the flyer on the Pawboost site. Mention if he is chipped or not. OFFER A REWARD! A lot of people are not on social media and will not see the online posts. They NEED a flyer so they know to watch for him and call if seen! Put some of your unwashed laundry and bedsheet along with his blanket and bedding. He may be able to pick up the scents and find his way back. Do not leave his litter pan out as it may attract unwanted animals. Leave a window open enough for him to come through if possible, or leave the garage door up a little. The best time to look for him is at night and in the early morning when it is quiet outside. Use a flashlight to try and see his eyes in the dark. Look up in trees. Ask your neighbors if you can search for him under decks, shrubs, patios, porches, in sheds, outbuildings, garages etc. He could have gone inside a structure and the door may have closed on him. Take a can of tuna or his canned food and lightly tap on it while quietly calling him. He may be too frightened to reveal himself, and is in hiding waiting to be found. Take some time to do an online search "best ways to find a lost housecat" for expert tips. Follow the suggestions to increase your chances of finding him. Check with Animal Control Services to see if someone turned him in. Best to go in person so you can spot him yourself if he is there. Praying.
