Post fliers door to door and ask your neighbors to check their garages and sheds etc. Cats often get trapped. Go to your shelter and make a missing report. Then check back often and always in person. Never call. He's scared and hiding. Sit quietly outside after dark and softly talk to him. Pet-trackerinc.org
