Description

Gray tiger cat with some typical white on face. Has wound on left rear flank but looks healthy otherwise. Comes around every couple of days.

Message from Finder

This grey tiger cat has been roaming around here for a couple of weeks. It looks to have some type of wound with missing hair on its left top rear by its tail. It appears to have some white on the face like a typical tiger cat. Seems healthy but is around at odd times late night (2am) or early morning (5am or 7am).

I also have a chip scanner that scans several different types of chips. But I cannot get close enough to it to scan it.

I haven't seen the cat in days. It won't come anywhere close to us to check. There's no collar. Someone in the neighborhood say they feed it when it comes around. I try to keep an eye out so I can put food out (which I do every few days hoping to see it). The only animal eating the food are the local raccoons, and occasionally the bear. I have cameras all around the house and have not seen the cat. Even my neighbors are keeping an eye out for it.

Thank you for helping! I used to admin several lost and found pet pages and these are suggested tips for a found cat: Please contact animal control and local vets in case owner called them looking. They’ll also scan free for a microchip if you can bring cat in. You may want to post signs for those not on social media. If the cat has a collar without a tag, pls check the inside of the collar as some now have the contact info stamped or printed on the inside. Some have it on the buckle. If female, pls check stomach for s/nursing mom and check area for kittens. Be very cautious of those claiming to be owners; ask for proof and/or vet records. There are many people who have ill intentions towards animals especially cats. If you are unable to do any of the above, PLEASE don’t just give the cat to anyone but a reputable rescue who will do their due diligence to find owner or screen potential adopters to find a loving home. Note...if you’re considering finding a new home for this cat...in most states by law, you have to give owners a chance to come forward before rehoming any pet.
