Small black cat with tiny white spot on it's chest

This small black cat has been hanging out under my hse for a few weeks. I'm not sure if someone owns the cat. They are shy but not feral. I've been giving them food because they seem very hungry.

Please secure the car and get a microchip scan done asap. Any veterinary office and some pet stores can scan. Call ahead to verify and schedule if they require it. Post the kitty on Nextdoor as well and check for updates on both websites. Not everyone checks social media, post flyers in the area. Include veterinary offices and pet stores when you post the flyers. Ask for proof when someone contacts you to claim the kitty, and pay very close attention to the kitty's reaction to the person.
