Message from Owner

I am worried sick about my sweet boy Pancake. We aren’t sure how he got out. He is a very friendly cat, but he will most likely run away if you approach him (he is a little skiddish with people he does not know). He has green eyes, a snaggle tooth, and he has a pretty lightly colored chin. He is a more brown and tan tabby. He is my baby, I rescued him from an IHOP parking lot at the end of 2022. His brothers miss him too!! Most likely he is hiding under bushes/trees or in garages. If you have the resources to set up a live trap, that is the best way to catch him (that is how I rescued him from IHOP). I am more than willing to give a cash reward of $100. I need him home, he is my ESA. If you find him please message me OR if possible take him somewhere to get his chip scanned. I deeply appreciate any and all help to get him home safe and sound.

Cats that get outside don't usually go far. He's probably scared and hiding/seeking shelter nearby. Keep checking under nearby porches, decks, shrubs and in garages and sheds. Best times to search and call for him are at dusk and dawn. Shake his treat bag while calling his name. Keep putting his food, water, and something with his scent on it outside your door to help him find his way back. Starting now and each day in late afternoon/early evening until he's home, put canned tuna/fishy canned cat food outside your door and watch for Pancake. The fishy food is important because they can smell it from farther away and hopefully he will come back around from wherever he's hiding. It worked to get my fearful cat to come back around when he was lost last summer. When you put the fishy food outside, pay close attention to your other cat because they may alert you when Pancake is near. My other cat would run to the window when her brother was nearby. Since Pancake is skittish, I would recommend setting a humane trap. I believe you can borrow one from Humane Ohio on Alexis Road. I wasn't sure how to set one, so I watched a couple of YouTube videos and it was very helpful. I caught my cat almost immediately after setting the trap with fishy food. Let your neighbors and mail carrier know that Pancake is missing so they can be on the lookout for him. Put flyers up in the area. Post on Toledo and Surrounding Area Lost and Found Pet page to get the word out. Sending prayers for sweet Pancake (love his name) to be safe and home very soon. Don't give up!!

Peter Cahoon I hope you get hurt this week. Nothing life threatening, of course, but something that will heal, but still remind you what a horrible person you are every time it rains.
