Genevieve Cloutier Kimmy Bee Hi sorry for the late response, but the vet called us this afternoon to let us know that his surgery was successful and he is awake and doing well. He will need to stay another night in urgent care so they can continue monitoring him. I'm a little but worried about the extra fees but I think we will be alright with some help. As a result of the surgery, Mocco has lost a good chunk of his jaw and will require some assistance when eating and taking medicine during his recovery period. They assured us that once he is all healed up, he will be able to adapt to his new way of eating. There will be some follow up appointment with his dentist in the upcoming weeks to check that everything is okay. Again, thank you so much for being here with us and for keeping Mocco in your thoughts the past few days! Once he is all healed, I will continue giving out some last few updates. 🩵🫂

Why did they hurt this little dog with a capture stick so badly? !!!!!! A fractured jaw because they used a metal stick causing 5 fractures!!!! Should that person still work at Proanima after doing this to a tiny old dog?

Kimmy Bee Genevieve Cloutier Thank you for your kind words, you don't know how much it means to our family! I spoke to the pet dentist who will be in charge of his surgery today and she seemed hopeful about the procedures, his heart seemed to be more stable than it was last night.

I have set up a GoFundMe campaign to help cover a partial amount of the cost as the veterinarians we spoke to yesterday told us it was a quite complex surgery to perform. He might need to stay an extra night at the center just so the veterinarians can fully monitor his conditions after the surgery. Genevieve Cloutier we are at an urgent care vet in lachine rn and they have contacted a dentist who is currently mobilizing a team so they can perform a surgery tomorrow morning. there may be some risks concerning his heart problems but we are ready to take those risks. please pray for his speedy recovery!
